Bedford Martial Arts Academy is dedicated to creating a learning environment that teaches individuals one of the most important components of our civilization, the basic element of a balanced education. We strive to promote a safe, caring, and supportive environment in which we can provide a foundation for physical, intellectual, and social development. Bedford Martial Arts Academy
Our Master Instructor and owner, John Stewart, has been a practitioner of the Martial Arts since he was a child, and has been instructing since the age of 12. Mr. Stewart graduated from Saint Anselm College in May, 2004, with a Degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Stewart was employed by the State of New Hampshire as a certified Police Officer, and as an Officer with the U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service, Uniform Division. Mr. Stewart holds a top secret security clearance, and is a Certified Emergency Care Provider. Mr. Stewart is also on the Board of Consultants with the Adaptive Martial Arts Association.

OUR SCHOOL PATCH
Bedford Martial Arts Academy Patch
The Shape:The top of the crest of the patch is like a roof, which gives shelter to all who are under it.
The Ying-Yang:The Ying-Yang represents any equal balance in nature and likewise with movements. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
The Circle:The Circle is symbolic of several things. It depicts life itself, a continuous cycle -- no beginning and no end. So it is with the art of Kenpo. It too is a cycle of perpetual and unending movement or motion.
The Triangle:The triangle's shape represents strength and endurance -- such as the pyramids have stood the test of time.
The Colors:The white background is significant of the many beginners who form the basis of the art. The yellow represents the first level of proficiency. The black represents a seasoned practitioner. The red symbolizes the degrees of mastery.
The Lines Around the Circle:The lines around the circle represent the angles of movement and foot maneuvers necessary to perform adequately.
The Axe Shape Bottom:The axe shape bottom represents the executioner's axe. It will be used to cut any members out of the Academy if they do not uphold the values and sanctity of all it is worth. The Flame:The flame represents those who have become eternal members of the black belt family.

Bedford Martial Arts Academy is conveniently located at 292 Route 101 in Bedford, NH; minutes from Amherst, Goffstown, Merrimack and Manchester. We offer a variety of programs to our students. We also offer private lessons. In addition, we provide After School Programs, Vacation & Day Camps, Adaptive Martial Arts Program, Women's Self Defense Classes, and Anti-Bullying Classes, as well as other special events throughout the year.
