Bedford Martial Arts Academy is a firm believer in community service and helping those in need. All our Black Belts and Belt Belt candidates perform charitable services throughout the local community and throughout the state. As the owner, Mr. Stewart volunteers his time on a weekly basis with Easter Seals of NH, providing martial arts lessons to children with disabilities, as well as to those who cannot afford to experience all that martial arts has to offer.
Mr. Stewart has organized many charitable events and events for those in need. Assistance has been in the form of organizing an Event to raise money for the cure for Breast Cancer, organizing a drive to provide gifts to less fortunate children during the holiday, organizing a food drive to help those in need throughout the year, helping families displaced by tragedy, and involvement in the fund raising of a charity for local youth stricken with a debilitating disease.

The "Olivia Cecilia Smith" Benefit Fund

Bedford Martial Arts Academy would like to thank the Instructors, Staff, and Karate Families for ALL the GENEREOUS Support for the “Olivia Cecelia Smith Benefit Fund.” Olivia Smith, the daughter of one of our Karate Families sustained a serious injury when she fell off chair while coloring with a pencil. The pencil entered through the corner of her eye and deep into her brain. As a result of the accident, Olivia has suffered three strokes that affected her right side and long-term cognitive processing. Olivia, who is so strong, has become a Miracle Baby. She has been discharged from the hospital to home. Olivia still faces a long road with rehabilitation and doctor visits, but she is strong and progressing well toward recovery. Anyone wishing to make a donation, may do so by sending a check to the “Olivia Cecelia Smith Benefit Fund,” PO Box 351, Goffstown, NH. Bedford Martial Arts Academy would like to recognize Assistant Instructor Jeffrey King for his charity work with putting together packages for our Troops in Afghanistan. With donations from family, friends, neighbors and the staff and families of Bedford Martial Arts Academy, Jeffrey was able to fill 100 boxes of items, including letters, to be shipped to our Troops for the holidays. As such, Bedford Martial Arts Academy is very excited to announce its “Clothing Drive Charity Event”, which will benefit so many people in need. Bedford Martial Arts Academy will be providing assistance to “St. Anne’s Clothing Closet”, a clothing ministry for children. St. Anne’s Clothing Closet provides FREE clothing, coats, hats, gloves, shoes, boots, socks, etc. for children in need. They are in desperate need of winter clothing, jackets, boots, and snow pants for newborns through teens. Bedford Martial Arts Academy is pleased to help this wonderful charity. Our Academy has the BEST community of students and families. Thank you for your continued help and overwhelming support.

Bedford Martial Arts Academy Programs are designed to make each student a well-rounded, confident and kind person, while learning high quality self-defense techniques. Bedford Martial Arts Academy is extremely proud of its students for their extreme generosity during our “Back-to-School Supply Drive.” Backpacks, pencils, crayons, erasers, glue sticks, paper, notebooks, arts & craft items, just to name a few, have been donated and distributed to the area schools.
The generosity of our students has made the "Back-to-School Supply Drive", a huge success. The supplies will benefit so many classrooms and families in need.

Easter Seals "Walk with Me"
Bedford Martial Arts Academy was pleased and honored to participate once again in the annual "Easter Seals Walk with Me" on June 7th@ Veterans Park in Manchester. It was a fun, family fitness walk, short on mileage, but big on heart. All proceeds benefited Manchester’s Easter Seals services that offer help, and hope for children and adults with disabilities. Thank you to everyone at Easter Seals for all your hard work and dedication. It was amazing to see and meet so many families whose lives are touched and benefit from this wonderful group.

The Breast Friends of New Hampshire are a group of women from the community who have been part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for 6 years. This year, they are walking in honor of Lucy Hall. Lucy lived a beautiful life and lost her battle to Breast Cancer last June. This year the Team's destination is North Carolina. Thank You Girls for doing all you do for this great cause !
